Summary
The crises that have hit the world over the past 20 by appealing to individual self-reliance-years - the financial crisis, frugality has heralded the return of the climate crisis, refugee flows, the law of the jungle. This brings to mind wars in the Middle East, global to the time when it was normal to fight out conflicts discrimination and polarisation, eruptions instead of de-escalating racism, the loss of biodiversity they managed without violence.
