22 February 16:00 CET: launch of new EU-Mercosur publication!

Handel Anders, Both ENDS, FNV and Platform ABC are inviting you to the launch of their new publication titled “The EU-Mercosur free trade agreement: a critical analysis and an alternative.” You can download the publication in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

The launch will take place on Tuesday 22 February at 16:00 CET (12:00 Sao Paulo/Buenos Aires) until 17:30. The spoken language will be English and there will be live translation into Spanish and Portuguese. During this interactive webinar, the authors will share the stage with several representatives from the Mercosur countries interviewed for the publication. Speakers are: Sara Murawski (Alternative Trade coalition), Sigrid Deters (Greenpeace Netherlands), Guus Geurts (Platform ABC), Alexandre Bento (CUT Brazil) and a representative from an Indigenous community (tbc). TNI researcher Luciana Ghiotto will comment.

The event focuses on the main shortcomings and threats of the agreement and the question of alternatives. There will be enough space for attendees to ask questions and share their perspective on the EU-Mercosur agreement.
